Entry #6. The World’s Smelliest Fruit. Hi, welcome to my blog. I want to introduce to you one of my favorite fruits in the world: durian. Durian is popular in Southeast Asia, where it’s nicknamed “the king of fruits.” Durian is very high in nutrients, containing more than most other fruits. However, it also gets a bad rap due to its strong smell. Some people love the smell, while others hate it. Durian is a tropical fruit; therefore, it’s grown a lot in Southeast Asia. In the United States, durian trees can be found in Florida. Durian trees fruit and flower in three to five years. It takes 3 to 5 months for the fruits to mature after the flower grows. Durian has a large size and spiky, hard outer shell. Inside the shell is another white layer that protects the tender flesh and durian seeds. The durian’s flesh can vary in color. It’s most commonly yellow or white, but can also be red or green. It has a sweet, custardy taste, with the texture of creamy cheesecake. Some f

Entry #5: Mayhem Big Day Hi, welcome to my blog. Recently I saw an interesting advertisement that I want to share with you. This is the Allstate Mayhem Commercial titled “Mayhem Big Day.” Let’s watch the video below first. This advertisement makes me laugh out loud so much. Mayhem in this ad is the best man who is obsessed with the football game and creates a big mess in his friend’s wedding. He does not intend to do a bad thing, but a random incident just happens. The commercial uses the humor tone to persuade people to buy or change to Allstate insurance. Beside that, it also wants customers to associate Allstate with security. There are many situations and incidents that can happen in life that other insurance companies may not cover on their behalf, but Allstate will have you covered. The target audience of this ad is people who are old enough to own their own vehicles or homes, probably from twenty to fifty years old, especially young couples who just got

Entry #4: TET TRUNG THU Hi, welcome to my blog. I want to introduce to you one of my favorite holidays in Vietnam: Tet Trung Thu, which is also known as mid-autumn festival, moon cake festival or moon festival. Tet Trung Thu is held on the fifteenth of eight Luna month with a full moon at night, corresponding to mid-September to early October on the calendar that we use now. This festival is celebrated in many Asian countries with different meanings. In Vietnam, it is the time for families to get together, especially for children to be doted on. Different parts of Vietnam have various activities to celebrate for this festival. I want to lead you to my hometown to see it. My hometown is a small countryside town. Ninety nine percent of the population is Catholic; therefore, when it comes to this festival, we have our own way to celebrate. My church is divided into four areas which are named after four canonical Gospels: Mathew, Mark, Luke and John. Each area will ha

Entry #3. Guessing Game Hi, it's nice to see you in my blog again. This time we will play a mini game called guessing. I will describe a thing and you try to guess what it is. You can comment to let me know how I do so I can improve my describing skill better. Let's begin. This is a thing which we can eat to make our breath refreshed. It's not food or desert. First, let's look at its package. It is packed in a small rectangle box which is about one inch wide and two inches long. This is a pocket side; therefore, this box can fit easily everywhere: in our purse, in our t-shirt pocket, or even in the tiny pocket of our jeans. On the top side of the box, there is a half oval side, which we use to open and close the box. On the two bottom sides, there are ridges that help prevent slippery so we can hold the box well. The box is made of sheer blue plastic; therefore, we can really see what is inside. "Crash' I get the package open

Entry #2. A Memory- Coffea Hi, here I am again keep trying to write all fun things in life. This time I want to lead you to a place half of the earth away, into a small country, set down in a beautiful village. It was my hometown in Vietnam about twenty-five years ago. I grew up in a small town, where everybody knew each other really well. If there was a guest in your house, half day later the whole town would know who came to your house for whatever reason. Most of people here were farmers who grew coffea in their lands. Coffea is a plant which produces coffee beans. When coffea reaches maturity, it bears small red fruits in clusters along its branches. There is only one harvest per year, which usually is from September to November. In my town, when it came to harvest time, all the fruits were picked by hand, brought home, and dried under sunlight directly for seven to ten days. The outer shell of red fruits became dark brown and brittle. After that, the dried fruits were smashed u

Entry #1. Blogs - Little World Blogs are like our little world in many points of view. The first similar is the structure. We show our personalities through the way we talk, the way we dress up, and the way we behave. Blogs also have their own characteristics. Blogs talk through their tones, their styles and their directions. The second similar is the potential to grow. The more mature we become, the more knowledge we build up through our daily experiences. Same thing happens with blogs. The more postings on blogs, the more valuable blogs can get through bloggers' effort and focus that put on the writing. The last similar is the ability to make decision. We choose our friends; blogs influence their readers. After searching out blogs, I find the blog that I like. It is a personal blog: At Home With Natalie . The first thing that catches my attention is Blogger Natalie is a mom of six kids. I can feel a little connection with her because I also have three kids ( not as much as
